WANDERING OF ABEL: Instanism brings an exhibition of ‘SABAH Is Happening In TAIPEI’ to Taipei Art Week this year, which is a cross-media exhibition centered on Sabah with first-person perspective of an orangutan from Borneo Sabah, guiding visitors to discover the region through the lens of everyday life via photography, artistic creations and interactive experiences.
The exhibition takes ‘Instanism’ as its core concept.
We do not seek to define a ‘standard Sabah’, but rather start from the present moment’s observations, feelings and memories. Sabah can be a dish, a colour, a way of life, a person’s memory, or whatever each visitor sees at this very moment.
Therefore, the exhibition does not present a single, definitive Sabah.
